This is a blog I've chosen to write since it's been on my mind for a while and I was meant to write it way back before the next Playstation announcement back on 20th February. 0_0 Well it's still not too late. I'm still gonna write it except this doesn't include games on other consoles e.g Ouya, Steambox and PS4. Those can wait for future blogs.
This is also the start of a series of blogs of the games I will (most likely) buy until the end of the year as my free time is becoming more and more limited. Yes I will talk Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flags soon too so brace yourselves.
This is an experimental blog where I talk about past events I've had with the games, start using wallpapers and vids in proper blogs to catch up on all the absences for those blogs and also mentioning people (mostly on Playstation Network) who inspired me to buy the games. Please don't lash out at me if you are not mentioned. As I said, this is experimental so I've never mentioned anyone before and I will hopefully be able to mention everyone I know in future blogs.
There are many people making blogs about all the new cool games and to be honest with you, I've never really been one for the update and news stuff. I mean it's ok but I prefer other things and exploring more to the video game industry, series etc. Many have already talked about the games they want but I've decided to include a few more stuff you may have not have seen in other "Games I'm gonna buy" blogs which is also an opportunity to catch up on cool wallpapers since I'm starting to fall behind a bit on my wallpapers. Thank goodness not funny vids... oh wait.
So if you see any pics, feel free to use them and get your popcorn ready to enjoy the blog.
Now the blog at hand...
So 2013 is meant to be the PS3 going out with a bang year. Of course Sony will continue to support for the PS3 (we can only hope) but with the current gen at a close, there will be many awesome games. Some exclusive, some multiplatform and some I can get for £10.
So here's the list I would like to show you before you fall asleep.
We start off with...
Crysis 3
Backround
The Crysis series has it's unique feel of being superhuman... but at the cost of alerting aliens. Yes! Crysis lets you become the ultimate soldier with super strength, speeed and my personal favourite, invisibility in order to stop an extraterrestrial force. There are many tactical options available to you, however if there's one thing it's famous for, it would be the graphics. The graphics of the first game are stunning especially since it's only a 2007 game. However people started lashing out against Crysis 2 since the graphics were dumbed down for consoles so it begged the question whether this internal conflict would continue... We'll find out right after the break.

So Crysis 3 is looking at high hopes with the graphics mainly being aimed at PCs and if consoles are negatively affected. Well screw em.
However I am not a PC fanboy, nor do I play games for the graphics... although I have to admit sometimes they're just too amazing!
Who inspired me to play the series in the first place?
My actual journey began 2 years ago with the first friend I had made online who was playing a game called Crysis 2. 0_0 His name was TOMPPIX. I'm saying "was" since he deleted me as he was selling his PS3 for a gaming PC. No he wasn't lying when he said since the latest trophies he had are still there after like 2 years. I can tell you that he would have fit in to MyIGN very well. It was in fact just the beta but at the time it was difficult to know people who didn't just play Call of Duty and FIFA. In fact this guy hates COD. For those of you who guessed it, he plays Battlefield.

I decided to buy the game since I wasn't really buying anything but I didn't enjoy it much at the start since... I turned it straight on to hardest difficulty and barely used invisibility. I kept joining friends on Black Ops since that's the only similar game I had to them. However after messages from my friend asking me why I wasn't playing Crysis 2 anymore, I decided to go back to it, brushed the dust from the box and was ready for another go.
Then all of a sudden I understood the game. I got easy help from my friend and eventually beat his difficulty. The gameplay was fun with all the superhuman stuff whereas with the story, you had to wait for it to pick up after a few missions. The MP was annoying. Possibly the worst matches I've had. I'm usually the top or near the top of the leaderboard but even a 1 vs 1 match with my friend I barely got anywhere. I had like a kill and 9 deaths. The annoying part was when I fired like 40 shots at him and then he turns around and shoots me with a sniper with one shot. With other players it was even worse since there were so many campers. If you would like me to make blogs about my friend in the future please say in the comments.

About Crysis 3
However for Crysis 3 it seems that despite the some of the glitches like massive guns taking up the screen it's not so bad since everyone seems to be moving around the area. I got like a 1.76 kill/death ratio just after one match since people wern't using the weapons that fired 1000 bullets a second but I sort of got in to a massive weapon glitch so I kept swapping weapons for a minute and something hit me from space.

The story of the game is looking great, picking up from the events of Crysis 2 with an infused Prophet/Alkatraz with an environment that has morphed both Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 with lush rainforests to towering cities. This game will include characters and plot elements from the first game too as the stories between Crysis 1 and 2 sometimes feel like without the names for the characters or the name of the Nanosuit, you could easily call it something else.
This pic dwarfs this entire blog so I will only be able to show the link for it.

Fortunately this one doesn't.
So Crysis 3 is done and dusted. So what's next? Oh yes...
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Backround
Unlike Crysis, there isn't an awful lot I can say. I've never really been a true fan of the series even though I enjoy stealth games. I've seen my brother play the games a lot while I could only dream of having a PS2 at the time. About a year ago, he used LOVEFiLM to get the HD collection which I started playing but it wasn't exactly as awe inspiring as I thought it would be. I think it's because of the games that I played in my childhood, I would always prefer better and that is the same with many other gamers out there... plus in the game, I couldn't open a door.

Who inspired me?
However my interest in the series has developed. Not long ago (I would say a few months) my friend Kaswa 101 started to become a youtuber so I never really saw him that much as I did when I was writing blogs for the first time. He seems to like the series much more than me since he made a video and over time his videos have become more and more impressive. I saw a gameplay video before which looked interesting but at the back of my mind I was thinking that it would be a game that I would watch some of the gameplay trailers and get exited for but in the end I never buy it because I start saving my money for something like DLC or a PS Vita... which I never bought. However when I saw Kaswa's (youtube name is Invasionering) I thought that the game looked really cool especially that the tone has become more serious with the White House under attack.
For one the music suits the style of the game and also I still don't see how Coldplay's Paradise song is more heard about than this.

Don't think this one worked either
About the game
This is the next addition for Sam Fisher. Although there have been criticisms like having the game set in the day with night vision goggles, "My eyes!" and the fact that the main character has a new voice actor. However, even though this has happened many times in video gaming like with Killzone and Assassin's Creed, he seems to have been a core part of the franchise which is why some fans have gone of the series... for now. So the story is about a unit called Third Echelon being closed down due to corruption so Sam Fisher must route out the terrorist leaders under a new Fourth Echelon.
Watch Dogs
Backround
An interesting yet surprising game revealed at E3 last year Watch Dogs reveal trailer seemed to have caught everyone by storm and is one of Ubisoft's most anticipated games. I remember I was waiting for E3 to start. However I thought it was at something like 2 o'clock in the morning since I live in the UK I knew it would be something late. I sent a message saying "E3 is looking great but we have to wait 4 hours." Then I got a message saying "It started 4 minutes ago." So there I was just in time for Assassins's Creed 3 and soon to be Watch Dogs.

However the reason why it looked so great is because it is using next gen technology... for current gen consoles. It is for both PS3 and PS4 and Britain as well as the rest of Europe is meant to have a "delayed" release for the next Playstation. Ubisoft also said it would be for all consoles. Don't get your hopes up. It's not for PS2 or Gamecube.

About the game
The game itself allows you take control of electric networks which essentially allows you to take control of the city which reminds me a lot like Infamous except instead of having electrical superpowers... you have a phone. Before the next Playstation announcement there was basically a trailer for this game and that's it. Ubisoft obviously wanted the game to be secretive until they would go full out with the game when the next gen starts. BTW when I'm referring to next gen I just mean for the PS4 not consoles like the 3DS.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
So this is where the drums roll in as people are witnessing the moment of my opinion on this new game but first of all we must pay a tribute to Connor as he may no longer be in future games. For all the Connor fans out there that are still staying strong (yes we do exist), we can only hope.
So we have all said our farewells, yes?
So the new game, they got the name wrong for a start. I thought it was going to be called Assassin's of the Caribbean. Ah well. Maybe they'll change it.
The Assassin's Creed has the ability to explore the entire history of Humanity which most games aren't given the chance to do. Maybe they could make a game in the Vikings, maybe even go the opposite way and send it to the future... how about Springfield?
![]()
Now it has the series being transported with a Pirate theme which I think sounds really cool since I loved the naval battles in AC3. I mean who didn't and the great thing about this game is that it didn't ditch the Kenway story with Connor's grandfather as the new lead, Edward Kenway who doesn't begin his journey another vengeance story or assassin. Instead he begins his journey after an exposure to the Assassin-Templar war, plus you can upgrade the vessel, not once, not twice but 50 times as well as being able to visit 50 locations. Although the details were pretty vague on the modern day story with a Templar who is a member of Abstergo Entertainment so that they can have a modern story for 2013 until the next modern day character arrives. That's we get for an annual release.

My friend ZombEE-_- told me about the trailer early on Sunday when all of the slow coaches saw it on Tuesday. I didn't even need to pay a subscription.
However after watching the trailer, I'm not exactly sure what to think. Over the years, AC has become more focused on combat where as most would rather see it head the other way. I myself wish for the series to go back to the feel of the first game and I actually preferred the Animus 1.0 as the sounds felt more futuristicy and it looked more complicated and difficult to understand it's system since there are random calculations and numbers that are more confusing than a day in a Chemistry class. 0_0

The Animus versions later feel much more bland and they start to lean away from the stealth genre which is what Assassins are meant to be a part of. In fact with the Altair, he had a synchronization meter so he never actually got hit, drowned or got attacked by Templars with funny hats . If he did, it just meant... you're not as good as Altair. However with Ezio, he has a health meter and uses medicine to restore it so many Ezio fans even admit that Altair is the greatest Assassin who ever lived. Maybe he is still alive and the guy in Revelations was an impostor. Why else do you explain a guy that looks and sounds nothing like Altair. Lets just take another break and admire the next wallpaper...
Next wallpaper
This is the wallpaper I use for the PS3.
The wallpapers from Fanpop never seem to show if you copy and paste. You can use it as a wallpaper, most definitely but it won't work if you try to attach the image to a PS3 message.
Back to the blog, this is not the only problem I have had with the announcement of this new game. I don't know but I think the pirate may have needed more work on for a few more years since I don't think it fits in fully with AC theme. The game may have actually been a completely new franchise but Ubisoft underestimated it, maybe due to Den Defense' performance and response so they just made it a small mode for AC3. Although just think if Den Defense got amazing reception. I know for most of you, this is blasphemy but we could have got some sort of Medieval England game where we would have to protect castles.

That is also something that has reminded me. Ubisoft seems to just ditch anything that's not well received so they'll simply ditch the whole mode altogether rather than improve upon it. They got rid of awesome multiplayer modes such as manhunt and alliance just because they wanted to add in more deathmatch stuff to appeal to COD gamers who will only buy the first thing that has been advertised. There is also the fact that it is going back with an Ezio like character. Personally I thought Ezio was cool, I preferred Altair because he acted more stealthy but I liked the way they explored a different character and Ubisoft has the opportunity to give players varied characters with each very different backrounds however if this Ezio like character continues, all AC will be is an Ezio series which will start to make the series stale. I mean the Xbox is well known for being an Xbox machine but it still has many other popular franchises.

However despite all this, I will still buy ACIV since I have been a fan of the series for about 3 years so I would like to see what it has to offer and I still see the series as delivering a great story since it is the start of a new series for the next gen consoles and much more platforming elements with settings you won't find anywhere else. However most likely I'll buy it for PS3 since I don't think you can matchmake between the PS3 and PS4 and most of my friends won't buy the PS4 anytime soon but also I may not go off MP entirely with the lack of modes because there may be co-op.
Maybe even just running around MP like Just Cause 2... except with a fewer glitches... or more would be nice.
So like I said, this is the start of a new blog series I'm making as well as many others so here are a few wallpapers, pics and clips that will tease what will be in the next "PS3 games I'm getting this year" blog. That is if you know what they are.

However due to the fact that there is much less free time for me, I may not be able to write as many blogs as before so I would like to ask you whether I should write long blogs like this one but over a period of a 2 weeks or more, would you like to see more funny vids, wallpapers and awesome fan made trailers or both?
I hope this blog makes up for the months away from funny vids, wallpapers, etc. However if you would like me to make my blogs more like this with all of them combined except with less inconsistency (less all over the place) or if you would like me to go back to the Stone Age, don't hesitate to write in the comments below.
For those of you who didn't faint at the sight of Crysis' graphics or if there's any of you who are becoming jealous and rageful for not mentioning you, here's a few funny vids that might cheer you up.
Impressions show: Jeremy Clarkson
Just Cause 2
House of Lords: ORDER!!! Order! Order.....
Generalminus: Montage (Crazyness escalates at 1:04)
Hope that has calmed the ragers down.
Any feedback and any comment would be much appreciated.
Thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed.
