Hey guys and gals! For some reason, I can't seem to post one of my wallpaper blogs... about Norway and many people have said to delete the whole thing and restart from scratch, without copying and pasting as well as one of my blogs posts becoming malware. It was a celebration blog but other than that, I'll decide to skip on to my other blogs rather than take a few million years re-writing. It won't actually work anyway if I re-wrote it. That is if this blog doesn't become pending too! 0_0
So at E3 after many years of handheld only games, we saw the Kingdom Hearts 3 announcement but we're unlikely to be able to get our hands on this game until about 2015/16 at least so I wouldn't recommend sitting outside the stores just yet. Might take a while. Why do I think it will be released withing this time frame? Nomura said we were impatient. Impatient? After 7 years for a main game announcement? Maybe he's having too much fun and time's just speeding ahead for him. He is a video game developer after all.
Anyways, ever since the first game, there has been a non stop talk about what worlds will be featured for the series and this is similar for Assassin's Creed because when you know that one out of the countless historical settings and Disney worlds will be featured for the next game, then you get the whole barrage of speculation... in military formation!
This is something very useful for franchises since people will have their own opinions between which places they would like to see next for the series, whether it's something new or old, realistic or not. Cheeseburger or Chinese. For many series like Final Fantasy, you really have no idea what kind of world where the next game will take place until you get trailers of course. The only real definite is lots of action and neater graphics.
However many years ago when I was more of an avid fan of the series, when I didn't know anyone else liked it (it's true but at least Square Enix have my money) when I was round about 8 or 9 after just playing the first game, I couldn't help but let my ideas run wild and I thought that, wouldn't it be cool if Disney wasn't alone for the basis of these worlds but rather one of many. Say if other animation studios or even just other film companies joined in, would there be many other worlds we could see? Well just to show you what I'm talking about, here a few examples.Enjoy!
Pixar
This studio is very likely to be a part of the new KH3 game because of it's cooperation with Disney and no doubt are people already twitching their fingers about what kind or worlds we'll see. There are many worlds that could be used but the one that seems to be the most definite is... you guessed it! Toy Story! Although I do remember playing the Buzz Lightyear demo for the PS1 24/7, I wouldn't call it my favourite film. I mean, that doesn't mean I loved them but there are others that I would prefer to see as a new world for the KH series. My top choice would have to be...
0_0 I loved this film so much and I can't really say how many times I watched this film. I lost count but it could go in to the hundreds but it wasn't just the film but the video game as well. Like many games released for the PS1, a video game adaptation usually meant something special and awesome. A game that would stand out amongst the rest... in a good way. That probably made your blood boil for some of you since many have never really been very well made and full of many glitches. Come to think of it, have they become extinct now?
Anyways, the game featured a hub world where you could run around and access to unlock many levels from snow where many monsters fish for ice cream to the pointy Pyramids. Common among the platformers at the time and was more non linear compared to many like games such a Gex. So it wouldn't hurt to possibly introduce many of these doors to lead to other areas around the world.
Just before I get obsessed with this movie though, lets not forget about the many others out there like Finding Nemo and A Bug's Life. Of course Sora and crew are gonna need a little bit of a change their form to suit the world but I think they should be able to be explored partly as Humans too. I mean when they arrive to A Bug's Life, they could notice something's wrong, walk around wondering where everyone else is and then turned in to some friendly ants. Not the ones that try take over your house.
(What is with it with all these 0_0s?)
However, even though it would be amazing to see them for KH3, I don't think many worlds would be a good idea. I mean, it would be cool to see a different side to the series even when the next sequels possibly go back handhelds with many other characters but compared to Disney, Pixar only releases a film once a year whereas Disney releases a few dozen and not just including animated films but live action too. My point is that Pixar worlds would be amazing to see but I hope they don't go crazy and use up all the worlds. I'd be happy with maybe 3 worlds at most and so by the time KH4 is released, we will have many worlds to choose from.
If I was to create a list for the top 3 worlds based off Pixar films, I would say, Monsters. inc, Toy Story and... The Incredibles. The Incredibles was another movie that had a great video game adaptation. These great video game adaptations must seem like some sort of mythology to you all. Plus if Samuel. L. Jackson's on board for Frozone, who can complain.
We've looked at another animation studio that seems a definite for the KH series to adapt movies and even TV series in to worlds aside from Disney. However would it be cool if there were others too? Here are some more examples.
Dreamworks
The next one is another very popular animation studio with many films I could name of the top of my head, Madagascar, Over the Hedge and who can possibly forget everyone's favourite ogre, Shrek. You know, apart from me. I have watched the movies, played the games and overall it would set itself up for a great world and think of the party members powers! Ogre burp attack and killer Donkey mode. Maybe they could replace Donald and Goofy.
It would sure be a fun world and Dreamworks is still making a whole bunch of new franchises while continuing the old series except a new installment for a series is not released every year, unlike a few companies (coughs) Ubisoft (coughs).
For many Dreamworks films, it could easily be separated in to 2 parts. What does that mean? Like 2 sections for a world so say The Nightmare before Christmas had a Halloween and Christmas section or Peter Pan's world had a pirate ship and Big Ben. Well that could easily work for a Dreamworks world, for example, with Shrek's world, it will be his Swamp home and the other side, Far, Far Away... if you can reach that far. With Over the Hedge, it will be the good old forest, then the mysterious, dangerous place... inhabited by Humans and known as the Suburbs.
How about the new franchises we've seen over the last few years? Like Kung fu Panda and How to train your Dragon? (The Vikings weren't actually like that in the film). Maybe even go as far back to what made the studios... well what it is like The Prince of Egypt or the Road to Eldorado. So something historic that's not Assassin's Creed, nor is it much more Uncharted plunder.
To me, if Dreamworks were to team up for an KH project, I think it would be amazing since I remember when I bought a PS2, I used to just watch Dreamworks films all the time and it never got old! I didn't tell many people of course since I was staying up too late watching them. Badass! Plus it would be much more diverse rather than just the usual Princess story... since you have an evil Fairy Godmother, talking cats and partying Zebras! I wonder how Pinochio is gonna react to the more drowsy Dreamworks version.
Like Pixar, if it was to happen, there's no rush to get as lots of worlds all in one game. Just a little bit at a time and when the company expands, they won't need to be looking around for more worlds to use because they would saved many years before with a whole pack of new movies to use.
There is a slight problem... I'm not fully sure whether other animation studios if any company would be allowed by Disney and Square Enix to participate in the KH series unless it's Pixar. Plus this video kinda puts you off the fact that a Dreamworks KH game will ever become a reality. http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/221278/nobody-is-ruining-this-event So lets make a spin-off... for the MyIGN console. However after watching that video... I... I'll never be able to see any of the KH games like I used to. Although remember everyone, don't take the video seriously or become offended... it's just South Park.
Blue sky Studios
Began with my favourite animated film, Ice Age (I like the Caveman times) it really expressed a journey of a few extinct animals trying to return a Human child to his family where the sabre-toothed tiger, Diego just wanted lunch but I won't spoil it for you. In my opinion, it has a great setting, great story yet mixed in with lots of humour and thus the voice actor known as Ray Romano for voicing Manny, the Mammoth has become one of my favourite comedians especially with his own show a few years back known as Everybody Loves Raymond... apart from one minor character in the series but I won't talk about that too much. So yeah, it's been a great series on my childhood and I had an idea once where the Ice Age world was close to the darkness in the KH series... as in extremely close like next door neighbour close. Another movie of there's that I also loved was Robots. I remember I was in hospital at the time when I was super exited to hear that in return for staying the night, I would get a free day off school, plus a the Robots movie too but at the time, I was also playing a whole lot of KH1. This was in 2005 so I kinda made a my own version of KH1 with the Robots world that to me, would easily fit in with the KH series. It has clumsy characters yet a strange, cool setting which reminded me a lot of Jak 2.
However many of the films have mostly been given average ratings and reviews with their latest works like Ice Age 3 where it did seem to go downhill from there and I haven't really paid much attention to watching many of their films anymore (some fan!) but I could see a few worlds based on Ice Age, Robots... and possibly Rio but if I was making the KH series, I would probably wait to see what else Blue Sky will have to offer in the future.

Contary to popular belief,I have played many of these games like Ice Age 2 for and Robots for PS2... which were still fun games. Not amazing but I always had a thing for historical settings and Robots was an open world game.
Aardman
If you know about this company, a lot of TV series may spring to mind like Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep and it's been a while since we saw many of the films but there are some more movies in development outside of the TV series with new franchises but I could easily see Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Flushed Away easily becoming part of the KH series.
Fantasy
Now this isn't really a company although it could be but the point being is that many people have been hating about the fact that there may be a Star Wars world in KH3. I actually don't see a problem since I could see Darth Vader replacing Maleficent as the leader of the new Disney villains anyday. You know, with the force and all but with a world, I could only see a connection with Star Wars if it was a world like Monstro where you become intercepted by a Star Destroyer or even Death Star where you have to help out Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and maybe even Chewbacca. Who knows? Jar Jar Binks could guest star. he is getting his own spin off movie... right? Maybe Darth Vader could just be a stand alone villain like Sephirath.
Although the reason why many of us don't want a full Star Wars world is because it has it's own massive universe and saga anyway. You can't really distinguish what a world would be since you can't really put it all in to one. You have Tatooine, Naboo and that's not including all the other thousands of planets out there. I think that they may do something like Phantom Menace on Naboo or Battle of Yavin for a New Hope.
However that's not what I mean by fantasy. Instead of having a sci-fi universe, why not have a world or 2 based on something more... magical based. Ok I'm just gonna say what I'm thinking! Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I mean it has so much potential and links in with the KH story and magic so easily. The only problem I could see with this is that the story may be a tad too long and all in one time would feel inconsistent but it couldn't hurt to play one part, go to other worlds and then return at a different time and of course they're not gonna fit the whole saga in to one world so they could just continue that on later on in the series.
Too many 0_0s
Who knows? Maybe even some smaller series to promote the fantasy genre like the Rook or Percy Jackson series. That way, we can get to fly gliders like hoverboards and some Grrek Gods, Goddesses and monsters to finish off! Keyblade style!
Video games
Last but not least is video game worlds themselves. I know for many games, that would seem kinda odd and get in the way and could even be a disaster but what if there was a hub world, full of all kinds of characters no matter new or old. Just a quick stop while they pass through different dimensions and all. Kinda like Hollow Bastion in a way where Final Fantasy characters and can stop by for some quick munchies.
Unless they make several crossovers like Alladin with The Prince and Altair. These pics are known as...
Teamwork at it's finest.
Who are they after?
They could even go as far as live action thrillers and comedies although they would probably have to have a more mysterious character like Roxas or more mature like Edward Kenway.
Like say this one for example...
They may have to add up the age rating a tincy bit and have that Edward Kenway kind of character. Unless they bleeped most of the words but where's the fun in that.
So what worlds would you like to see in the future of this series? Do you think other studios like Warner bros should take part? A Simpsons world? Also, this is the start of a blog series so you'll be plenty more of these including a series for the MyIGN console.
Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed.
